From Busy to Bored

ARGH!

Well, I haven't posted anything in a while because I was waiting for this little girl's arrival.....but needless to say, we're still waiting. Much to our surprise, after going early with Jack, I am now 5 days overdue. They performed some extra tests on her this week now that I'm past my due date and everything checked out perfect, so she's healthy and happy in there, which is obviously #1. But I have to be honest, the waiting and wondering has been getting tough. We've stopped trying to anticipate when I will go into labor and have been trying to find other things to occupy our time, but in a sense, our life has been on hold and I really don't feel like doing anything except for having a baby. Sleep has also become very difficult for me, which doesn't help with the emotions that go along with being stir crazy and almost 41 weeks pregnant (Dennis will attest to this.) I'm just trying to tell myself that my body will be that much more prepped for the sleep deprivation that goes along with having a newborn. There have been many moments when our excitement has turned to frustration, but at least now there is an end in sight........if I don't go into labor on my own, we are scheduled for an induction on Wednesday. Not my first choice, but we're ready for whatever it takes at this point! Keep us in your thoughts that we will have a baby VERY soon & we will keep you posted.

Jack's 2nd Birthday Party

What a relief.....we made it through Jack's big party without any surprises from baby sister. It was such an exciting day for Jack & we're so happy he got to have his one last hurrah before he has to share the spotlight. Watching Jack's excitement from just seeing all the balloons, the cake, playing with friends and of course the presents, was priceless. Although a scorcher of a day weather wise, the kids managed to stay cool playing with the water table and the adults with a little shade and a cool beverage. It was a fun day! ............now time to just kick up our feet, relax and wait for this little girl's arrival!

Jack is 2!

We had a very fun day celebrating Jack's 2nd birthday! The weather was so great we spend pretty much the whole day outside........stay tuned for pictures from his party, which is on Sunday, and keep your fingers crossed I don't go into labor until after the party!

Baby Sister

Here I am at 37+ weeks....could be anytime now. Everything is all ready for our little girl's arrival. As uncomfortable as I am at this stage in the pregnancy & as excited as I am to meet our little girl, I still somehow find myself still wanting another week with just Jack and a little time to relax after having so many things going on in our lives keeping us so busy! ........but I guess we can only wait and see!

Busy days getting ready..........

I sorry (these words come out of my mouth a lot) that I haven’t had a chance to blog for awhile, we have had a lot going on as of late. My mommy had been busy studying for her physics exam for work (She passed), there is a For Sale sign in our front yard, there are blueprints all over our dining room table, and there is another crib in our house for this baby sister mommy and daddy keep talking about. I have tried to sleep in this new crib without success………I am told it is for the new baby. It sure seems like there has been a big to do for this baby that isn’t even here yet! They keep reading me this Big Brother book, which has taught me that this baby will probably steal my toys someday……. I don’t know if I’m so cool with this. Consequently, when they asked me the other day if I was excited about my baby sister I had to tell them “NO!” However, they told me she is going to get me a really cool present when she arrives, so maybe it won’t be all that bad Speaking of baby sister’s arrival, apparently we’re getting close, only a few weeks away …….whatever a week is. Mommy is just hoping the baby doesn’t come until after my party next weekend. I hope so too, since that would put a monkey wrench in things, and I’m so excited for my friends to come over and have cake and presents! I can’t believe I’m going to be 2 years old this Thursday…....it has been a great two years, however, mommy and daddy keep referencing that I’m reaching my terrible 2’s? I’ve become a little more demanding and run everywhere I go (wonder where I could have gotten that from)??

Well, my next report will probably be when baby sister comes into the world By the way………. I know what her name is going to be! He, he he, he!

Our Little Man

OUTSIDE!

OUTSIDE!.......that is definitely Jack's favorite place to be these days, and I can't say I blame him. With the unbelievable spring weather we've had who wouldn't want to spend all their time outside :) Whether it's playing ball, pushing around cars and tricycles, sidewalk chalk or blowing bubbles, Jack is all about it! It's also fun to watch all his observations of the great outdoors....watching the birdies, doggies and AIRPLANES!
