Look World I'm Here
Hello world! baby Jack here, I finally arrived at 9:03 on Tuesday morning. Here's the story of how I entered the world: So my buddy, Cullen, was over with his parents (Dirk & Lisa) on Memorial Day for a grill out and I was telling him about the sweet deal my mom had offered me. She told me that if I came by Tuesday I would get a free pass out of my first grounding. So after some discussion with Cullen I decided to take my mom up on her deal. I broke my mom's water at 5:45pm, just as dad had thrown the burgers and brats on the grill. I was so forceful that it created a lake in our house! Dad kind of freaked out and was very glad that Dirk, Lisa, Dustin & Missy were there to help and clean up as mommy & daddy got ready to go to the hospital. Despite daddy being mister planner and on top of things, he forgot several things at the house:) We arrived at the hospital at about 6:45pm and nothing major started happening until 11:45pm when I realized I better speed things up. Mommy's pain picked up through the night and daddy spent the night consoling her so neither of them got any sleep. At about 5:30am I started to make my last descent but I made the mistake of putting my arm around my neck (nobody knew this until I came out) so that combined with my big head made it really difficult for mommy. It got kind of scary for a while since I was stuck, mommy was in a lot of pain, and daddy was getting a little worried since he new something wasn't right when many other doctors and nurses had to come in the room. However, daddy stayed strong and only had to sit down once and was able to assist mom in getting me out @ 9:03am. The doctors and staff were worried about me and mommy at first, but we are both going to be fine:) As for Dad, he said it was one of the most stressful things he has ever gone through and said like he felt like he had just gotten back from a weekend trip to Vegas (not really sure what the means.) I hope mommy can forgive me for making the mistake of having my arm around my neck as I was delivered. She keeps telling me I'm worth all the pain, so I think everything is going to be alright!
As for the deal my mom made with me about getting out of my first grounding, we are still in discussions to see if I get the free pass since I technically came 3 minutes after her shift would have started on Tuesday. So if you talk to her put a good word in for me.
Since Tuesday I have had many tests and have been poked and prodded a lot. All the nurses and doctors tell mommy and daddy that everything has checked out great and I am a healthy & handsome little boy! I keep hearing that I'm going to be a chick magnet and a few of the nurses have offered their phone number to me, but my mom said I am too young to be getting phone numbers so I guess I need to wait another year:( I have met a lot of new people and have gotten many great gifts (THANK YOU!) Thanks to everyone for being so wonderful to me and my parents, and I look forward to meeting more of you soon. Oh yeah, and Daddy told me to say that if you don't have an account at Citizens State Bank you better get down there and open one or you can't meet me. Mommy thinks Daddy is a bit crazy some times, but I love them both just the way they are. Thanks again for everything!
Love, Jack
P.S. I love spending time with my mommy & daddy so much, that we stayed up all last night hanging out, so sorry it took me so long to post this on our blog!

37 Weeks 5 Days and Counting
Dennis & I are definitely counting down the days until little Jack arrives, of course it would be easier to do so if we knew exactly when he was planning on arriving. We're ready whenever he is!!! Dennis has been saying throughout my whole pregnancy that Jack will be born on May 25th. I have been telling him not to get my hopes up of going early, because he is going to have to deal with a very disappointed, uncomfortable, pregnant wife if his prediction doesn't turn out to be right :) We'll keep you all posted!

The special blanket my mom sewed for Jack.
Corinne, myself & Jenny
We have been so lucky to have many wonderful friends and family throw us baby showers. It has been fun celebrating the anticipated arrival of little Jack with everyone. He is one lucky little boy to have so many generous family and friends showering him with gifts. He can't wait to wear all his new clothes and play with all his new toys - neither can Mom & Dad :)
We want to send a special thanks to Pam & Cindy for hosting the shower in Manitowoc, Corinne & Jenny for the Minneapolis shower, all my co-workers for the Freight House shower, and Lisa & Kelly for the La Crosse shower. Thanks for all your planning and thoughtfullness!!! We appreciate it!
