Bittersweet Summer Day
Jack & Mommy had a great day at the park on Monday......our last day before I returned to work :( It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun hanging out, reading, taking walks, smiling & playing peek a boo & doing this little photo shoot :) (Don't you love Jack's new shades!) It was however, bittersweet as it was the last day of my maternity leave, it's been such a great summer and it's been so wonderful being at home with little Jack. I have been back to work for two days now, and it's been hard....hopefully it will get easier! Luckily Grandma Churness is staying with us all week to help with the transition, so that's been making things easier on us - thank you Mom!

Camping Adventures
I was a good little boy for our camping trip last weekend, I figured I'd better be on my best behavior since it was Mommy's birthday. I had a lot of fun playing outside, I just can't get enough of staring at the trees and the sky. They had a Mardi Gras weekend going on at the campground, so I got to watch my first ever parade. Mommy, Daddy & I had a great weekend with our friends! Oh yea, there was one small problem with Daddy's luggage........he forgot it:)
No tent for us this year......our luxury cabin :)
My first Mardi Gras.
Breakfast at Paul Bunyon's............maybe next year I can try the food, but this year I stuck to my milk.
The guys playing frisbee.
The girls playing bean bags.
Mommy's birthday dinner. I slept the whole time like a good little boy.
Happy Birthday Mommy!
Exhausted from the long weekend.

Ouch!!!
I was a brave little boy this week and had my first batch of shots. Mommy & Daddy were both there to hold my hand, but I still screamed a little bit. How would you like some stranger coming at you with a bunch of needles?! At my doctor's visit they also measured and weighed me, and as it turns out I really am a little pork chop, just like daddy always calls me. I now weight in at 14lb7oz, which puts me in the 90th percentile & I am 24 1/2 in long (50th percentile.) What can I say.......I like my milk!
