Brave Little Trooper

Well, I'm sure as most of you have heard, Jack had minor surgery yesterday. The surgery went off without a hitch, was successful, and Jack is recovering very well, all of which we are very thankful for! Jack was born with an undescended testicle, which if left untreated could cause damage to the testicle or even develop into a tumor later on in life. So after almost a year and a half of waiting for it descend on it's own, it was decided that it was time to surgically bring it down to it's proper place. It was pretty nerve wracking day (and couple days leading up to the surgery as well) so we are so happy to have it over with. The worst moment was definitely watching them take Jack back to the OR without us - he was not crying, but was reaching out to Daddy and Mommy. Then kept us updated through the surgery and it went pretty quickly. It was a little rough as Jack was coming to from the anesthesia, but he quickly fell back asleep for a couple hours and rested, and after he woke up, he was talking to us and wanted a snack - this was the best moment of the day. He's been doing great at home, sleeping more than usual & a little low key, but otherwise he seems pretty unphased by the whole thing. Thanks to everyone for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. We are ecstatic that everything went well and Jack seems well on the road to recovery!
