School's Out For Summer

Both kiddos had great school year's that just flew on by.  Stella completed her first year of preschool and Jack his first year at Cathedral.  They both had such great teacher's and are growing up so fast, so it is bittersweet that the school year is through and summer break is here.  We made our summer bucket list this weekend and it's time to get cracking on it!  I am going to try and soak up all my time with the kids this summer before baby #3 makes his arrival.

Remembering Chris......Our Brother, Uncle, Friend

It still hardly seems real that I am doing this blog post even though it has been a month since Chris' passing.  His time with us was way too short, and I don't know that we will ever understand why, but can only hope time will bring acceptance and peace.  All we can really do is carry on and remember the good times we had with him, and knowing his light-hearted soul that's what he would want.

This picture was taken the last time the four of us were together with Chris and I am so grateful we have this picture; everyone looks so peaceful.  Chris, we will miss your happy little smirks and will do everything we can to let your happy spirit be carried on through each of us.

Jack...a look back

Here he is, the newest 6 year old on the block!  We celebrated Jack's 6th year of life today with a picnic in the park, a trip to Chuck E Cheese, some quality Lego building time, dinner out, and presents of course!

Jack has four days of school left for the year, and has had a great first year at Cathedral Elementary.  He has an awesome little group of buddies, and has learned and grown so much over the past year.  I can always count on Jack to cheer me up when I'm having a bad day, he has the biggest heart and knows just how to make me smile.  He is such a caring, fun and goofy little guy.  His nick name should be Laid Back Jack, because he knows how to compromise and get along with his sometimes crazy little sister.  We can't wait for Jack to be a big brother again this fall, as Dennis and I both know he will be awesome with baby brother.

We couldn't feel more proud and privileged to be your parents Jack!  In your words "I love you to the moon and back bagillion trillion zillion google thousand!"
